In the Community
Ms. Iwanyshyn is actively involved with the Northway Christian Community where she is a volunteer member of the production team who works at the Saturday and two Sunday Services to enable a community of people of all ages and faith backgrounds to come together to follow Christ. The people in this community support each other through small groups and various ministries. Weekend services include live music by a terrific band, inspirational and sometimes humorous videos and biblical teachings that are relevant to our everyday lives.
One of the support ministries available at Northway is called Marriage Matters. This 12 week program is lead by an exceptional pastor/therapist and small group leaders and is designed to help married people to communicate lovingly and to forgive transgressions. Ms. Iwanyshyn has been through the program and highly recommends it to people not ready to divorce.

Attorney Iwanyshyn is also actively involved in a womenıs counseling group that is designed to help individuals heal past hurts. There is a group solely for men as well and she recommends both for people either going through divorce having experienced divorce or considering divorce. Many of the men are quoted as saying that if they had attended this ministry earlier their wives might not have divorced them. Unfortunately many attend when it is too late to heal the wounds. She thinks that all people should attend this program for at least several sessions.
For the person currently going through divorce there is a program called DivorceCare that is sponsored by many of the churches throughout the county. The program of 10 weekly seminars includes videos and group support to help those individuals experiencing the pain of this process. Samples of the videos and a more detailed explanation of the program can be seen at http://www.divorcecare.com. You can also find a local group through this site.
